Saveh Chemicals and Industrial Research Co. is the first producer of carboxymethyl cellulose and polyanionic cellulose in Iran. As the runner-up winner of the 11th Khwarizmi Award for Applied Research, this project is the fruit of Mrs. Tahereh Aghamohammadi’s research, and its manufacture was scaled up after successful laboratory production. The company currently produces several types of CMCs for detergent, textile, paint, and glue industries, among others, and polyanionic cellulose and Natural Gum. The use of cotton-linter alpha-cellulose in these products offers a much higher quality than similar products.
